ENDING: Walter Grant for Children’s Literature (US) (Diverse)

The Walter Grant is for diverse writers and illustrators of children’s fiction who reside in the US and have not published a book. Children’s in this case means anything from a board book to young adult. Self-published authors not eligible. The grant will go towards supporting a specific manuscript. Diverse in this case means: a person of color, a Native American, a person identifying as LGBTQIA+, a person with a disability, or a person of a marginalized religious or cultural minority. Five grants of $2000 each will be given.
