The Chicken Soup “Messages From Heaven” Contest is for nonfiction essays and poetry up to 1200 words on the topic “Messages From Heaven.” (This tends to involve messages “sent” by those who have already passed away.) Prize is $200, publication, and ten copies of the anthology. This comes out to well over the industry standard of $0.06 per word.
