Note from site host: Wow, this calendar is currently tough to read, isn’t it? This is because the calendar has been ported to a new website. New posted events from here on in will direct to the new site–so you’ll only have to tolerate this for a little bit :)

ENDING: Year’s Best YA Speculative Submission

December 31, 2016

The Year’s Best YA Speculative is a Periodic Web Submission Window for YA speculative short fiction previously published in 2016.

Submit your 2016-published YA speculative short stories for a chance to be published in Twelfth Planet’s Year’s Best YA Speculative Anthology.  The prize is publication and a $100-200 advance on royalties for the anthology. Speculative fiction in this case is defined as:

“…science fiction, fantasy, horror and crime. We will consider borderline literary, new weird, steampunk, space opera, hard science fiction, soft science fiction, urban fantasy, cyberpunk, military science fiction, young adult, paranormal romance and everything in between. We are interested in serialised works… Please note we are not looking for epic fantasy, splatterpunk, poetry, short story collections, previously digitally published material (ie on your blog, self published ebook, etc) and unfinished work.” -Submission Site

The submission deadline is 12/31/16.

The original information page and submission guidelines can be found here.
