Note from site host: Wow, this calendar is currently tough to read, isn’t it? This is because the calendar has been ported to a new website. New posted events from here on in will direct to the new site–so you’ll only have to tolerate this for a little bit :)

ENDING: Futurescapes Short Story Contest
October 13, 2017

The Futurescapes Short Story Contest is for fiction short stories up to 8000 words on the theme of “blue sky cities” (in other words, cities with clean air). The theme must explore the positives or negatives of a future city and must, in some fashion, “provide a road-map for cities, states, and nations to follow.” First prize is $2000 and five runners-up will receive $500, and all will earn publication in an anthology that will be put into the hands of politicians and governors across the country.
More info here. Self-hosted.
