DESCRIPTION:The Writer’s Games are a two-month long writing challenge event for authors of all genres. Weekly prompts are given and winners are chosen from the entry pool. Overall winners receive publication in an anthology as well as interviews on the website. This event is all about community and honing your craft. Proceeds go to the charity that runs NaNoWriMo. Here is how the host site describes each week of the Games: \n\n\nCompetition breakdown: \n\n\nEach week is the same\, you can set recurring alarms so you won’t miss a post! \nFriday: event announcement \nSaturday-Monday: WRITE! \nMonday: email entry before midnight UTC \nTuesday-Friday: judgement \nFriday: winners announced \nFriday (2 hours later): event announcement \nRepeat for 2 months! \n\n\nThe Games begin in May and last through June\, starting with a scoreless practice week. Registration is open from March 15th to April 30th. \nMore information can be found here.
