DESCRIPTION:The O’Connor\, Colquitt\, Wilson\, and Baskerville Prizes are awarded to the best poetry and fiction published in Descant Magazine. Prizes vary from $250-$500 in each category. Please note that the magazine does not offer payment for submissions\, except to those who win prizes.  Note: It’s currently unclear whether this magazine still exists. Some conflicting verbiage states it went defunct in 2015\, but that could be referring to a separate magazine of the same name. Submissions are still listed as open at the site\, however.
