DESCRIPTION:The Ocean Awareness Student Contest is for poetry\, prose\, film\, or art by middle or high school students on the theme of “Ocean Pollution: Challenges & Solutions.” \nSummary\nAll creative formats must adhere to the theme “Ocean Pollution: Challenges & Solutions.” Each category will receive separate prizes at both high school and middle school levels. Prizes within each of these sections is as follows: \nGrades 9-12: (1st – $1500) (2nd – $1000) (3rd – $500) (10 Honorable Mentions – $250) \nGrades 6-8: (1st – $1000) (2nd – $750) (3rd – $250) (10 Honorable Mentions – $100) \nThere will also be prizes for teachers\, for the first place winners’ schools\, and for the “Making Waves” award. Deadline for entries is June 19th\, 2017. \nLinks\nThe original information page for this Event\, including full guidelines\, can be found here.
